BURLINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA  PRACTICE SESSION (BUY)

Location: Burlington, NC (BUY)

Date:  Saturday, April 5, 2008

Clinic has reached maximum capacity based on available number of safety pilots.  Please look elsewhere for training.

FBO: Burlington Aviation.

Facilities: Uncontrolled airport; runways100 feet wide, 5,000 feet and 5,000 feet long, multiple approaches available, no obstructions.

Motel:  Multiple motels nearby listed in AirNav Ramada  2 miles from airport is recommended.

Car rental: car rental directly from FBO.  

Registration fee: none.  Expect collection at the session for lunch sandwiches and beverages.

SCHEDULE (Local Time)

Saturday, April 5, 2008
9:00 a.m. Mandatory briefing
Practice sessions with a break for lunch.
Sunday, April 6, 2008 Possible additional training for those needing further work.
 
Format: Saturday sessions will focus on formation take-off and landing and station-keeping.  By the end of the day pilots should be comfortable in all phases of the flight requirements necessary for B2OSH.
Optional Sunday sessions will enable
those needing more practice to improve their skills.
This formation practice session is designed to prepare for Bonanzas to Oshkosh.  It will not address advanced skills.

Registration: Please click on this registration link and complete a form.  This will enable Bubba and Ritchie to make appropriate plans for the number of people planning to attend.

REQUIREMENTS: Dual rudder pedals, working intercom and  T-34 formation flight manual; review TRAININGOn Your Own and the Waiver.

Note: the T-34 Flight Manual is apparently undergoing a 5th revision.  While awaiting publication the 4th edition is out of print, no longer available in hard copy, but may be ordered in Adobe pdf format at:
