A B2Osh and PBS Coordinated Event - Provided
for the interest of PBS members and Bonanza pilots wishing to
participate in B2OSH Bonanza Formation Training
Practice sessions will focus on formation take-offs & landings and
station keeping. Beginners will have safety pilots. Experienced
pilots wishing to re-qualify for B2OSH may have safety pilots
depending on availability. By the end of the day pilots should be
comfortable in all phases of the flight requirements necessary for
b2osh. If time permits, progression to 2-ship break & rejoin is
possible.
Facilities: Friendly control tower, elevation
2351` , RW 7201` x 150`.
Fuel SS and fuel truck (ten cents less at SS). Field is surrounded
by bleak desert landscape and is
adjacent to Edwards AFB.
HUGE BONUS
We have arranged for some Edwards AFB Test Pilots to be safety
pilots. Ground school and briefing will be conducted by
experienced formation pilots.

On arrival meet in airport lobby next to
restaurant.
Registration Fee: 40.00.
Motel: The
Oxford Inn has a
pilot discount and will/does provide a shuttle from WJF, about 5 to
10 minute ride. Participants wishing to arrive Friday night so as
be there refreshed on Saturday morning should also know that there
is a breakfast buffet. Early evening guests get two complimentary
drinks and hors d`oeuvres. Please self register at (661) 949-3423
and don't forget to mention being a pilot. We will more than likely
have a private van to pick up overflow.
Those wishing to do
advanced formation work should indicate that interest for a Sunday
sortie or two.
