OAK ISLAND, NORTH CAROLINA  PRACTICE SESSION (SUT)

Location: Oak Island, NC (SUT)

Date:  Saturday/Sunday May 22-23, 2010

Clinic may reach maximum capacity.  Register early to preclude needing to look elsewhere.

FBO:  Brunswick County Airport

Facilities: Uncontrolled airport; runway 100 feet wide, 4,300 feet long, multiple approaches available, no obstructions.  FBO will give 10% fuel discount.

Motel:  Wingate By Windham Southport ($99.95 King, $109.95 2 queens, breakfast included). (910) 454-0086

Car rental: car rental available, but courtesy car may be available for the group.  Host will let registrants know a day or so in advance if rental car can be cancelled.

Registration fee: Ten dollars to cover snacks and beverages.

SCHEDULE (Local Time)

Saturday, May 22,2010
9:00 a.m. Mandatory briefing
Practice sessions with a break for lunch.
Sunday, May 23,2010 Possible additional training for those needing further work.
 
Format: Saturday sessions will focus on formation take-off and landing and station-keeping.  By the end of the day pilots should be comfortable in all phases of the flight requirements necessary for B2OSH.
Optional Sunday sessions will enable
those needing more practice to improve their skills.
This formation practice session is designed to prepare for Bonanzas to Oshkosh.  It will not address advanced skills.
 
Participants successfully completing the course will qualify for 60 ABS Aviator points.

REQUIREMENTS: Dual rudder pedals, working intercom and  T-34 formation flight manual; review TRAININGOn Your Own and the Waiver.
