NORTHERN CALIFORNIA B2OSH PREPARATION CLINIC (SCK)

Date:  April April 9-11, 2010

Location:  Stockton Metropolitan Airport (KSCK)

FBO:  Atlantic Aviation (formerly Stockton Jet Center).  www.atlanticaviation.com.  Friendly staff with excellent conference room, WSI weather service, and wireless internet.  Ramp Fees waived and fuel discount offered with quick turnaround line service.  Rental cars available through Atlantic.  (209) 982-1622

Facilities:  Friendly and formation-knowledgeable control tower.  Parallel runways:  9,500’ X 150’ and 4,400’ X 75’.

Registration Fee:  $50.  100% of the fee goes toward host’s expenses and includes lunch and pizza party dinner.

Schedule:

Friday, April 9
1600-1800:  Arrival
1930:  Dinner at Garlic Brothers.  Roast Beef, Chicken, Pasta, & Salad served family style.  $20 + drinks (not included in registration fee).

Saturday, April 10
0830:  Mandatory Briefing and Ground School – miss briefing = no fly.
1030:  First Sorties
1200:  Lunch (provided & delivered to airport)
1300:  Afternoon Sorties

Sunday, April 11
0730:  Mandatory Briefing|
0830:  Dawn Patrol practice session (late dawn, if there is such a thing)
1100:  Simulated B2OSH
flight to lunch at another airport TBD.

Format:
Practice sessions will focus on formation take-offs & landings and station keeping.  Beginners will have safety pilots.  Experienced pilots wishing to re-qualify for B2OSH may have safety pilots depending on availability.  By the end of the day pilots should be comfortable in all phases of the flight requirements necessary for B2OSH.  If time permits, progression to 2-ship break & rejoin is possible.

Requirements:  Dual Rudder pedals, working intercom, and the <T-34 Formation Flight Manual>.  Review <Training>, <On Your Own>, and bring a signed <Waiver>.
