BONANZAS TO OSHKOSH

FLORIDA REGIONAL PRACTICE SESSION

DATE: April 14, 2012 (Rain date April 15, 2012)

LOCATION: Sebring Airport (KSEF), Sebring, FL.

HOSTED BY: Michael Hatten and Marc Charron.

FACILITIES: Uncontrolled field (no tower), crossing runways approx. 5,000' X 100'.. Restaurant on field.

CAR RENTAL: Avis, Hertz & Enterprise have drop off service at the airport; contact them directly.

MOTEL: Chateau Elan Hotel on the airport; special rate $89.00 for Bonanzas to Oshkosh Group. Call 863-655-7200.

FEE: none.

Rain date is Sunday. Sunday will also be used as and additional training day for those who need more training or want to progress beyond the basics required for B2OSH.

Mandatory briefing 0900 Saturday. Miss the briefing = forget about flying. All pilots must have reviewed and know the material in the T-34 manual.  Practice sessions with a break for lunch. Participants successfully completing the course will qualify for 60 ABS Aviator points.

FORMAT:
Saturday sessions will focus on formation take-off and landing and station-keeping. Cross-under for experience on both sides of lead will be accomplished. Beginners will practice with a safety pilot. Experienced pilots will re-qualify for B2Osh. By the end of the day pilots should be comfortable in all phases of the flight requirements necessary for B2Osh.

REQUIREMENTS: Dual rudder pedals, working intercom; attendees are required to know the T-34 Formation Flight Manual; review TRAINING,  On your Own and the Waiver.
