Rockford Hangar Party

The party will be at the RFD airport in the Emery FBO Hangar Friday, the day before the formation flight. Gathering begins around 3:00 p.m., service around 5:30-6:00 p.m.

Transportation will be arranged and last year’s schedule is posted. It is expected that those arriving early in the afternoon will go to their motels, check in, and return for the party. Those arriving late will just walk the few steps to the party and check into their motel after the party. No one is allowed to walk on the UPS ramp after 5:00 pm Friday. Because of the transportation issues, we again remind everyone to plan a separate, small bag for only your overnight needs. Please do not transport all the luggage you packed for OSH.

The location of the Hangar Party will be in the main Emery Air Charter FBO hangar. The Safety Building (site of the auditorium) is now an international customs facility. The auditorium is still available for our use the following day for the briefing prior to the formation flight.

Children are our most important and cherished assets. They will someday be the future of B2OSH. All children are expected to go immediately to the head of the food line – we are sure graciously will graciously let them ahead of you. Parents eating with their children will accompany them to the head of the line and be served with them. Please be responsible and place your own refuse in the available receptacles after eating. No dirty plates and empty cups lying around!

We will leave the facility as we found it. We will ask those waiting for a later bus to help fold tables and chairs and stack them where directed. With very little effort this is easily and quickly accomplished.

We are planning on specific numbers. Please list on your registration form an accurate number for those attending this party. If plans change and you add passengers or will miss this party, please let us know as soon as possible.

This year's Flight Leaders, Jessie and Bob Siegfried II, are responsible for this outstanding party. Bob and Jessie get ample help from Glenn and Laurie Olsen and Bob's Mom, Thelma Jean, matriarch of the First Family of (Bonanza) Flying.
