Rockford Motels - 2011 Information
Everyone must make their own motel reservation. Central reservations generally do not know about group rates, so call motel directly to get the group rate.
For those arriving on Thursday or Friday, the days prior to our departure for Oshkosh, we have arranged rooms and discounted rates at the Howard Johnson Motel, the Clock Tower Resort, and the Fairfield Inn. We have also negotiated discounted rates at the Hilton Garden Inn. HoJo is near the airport and the other 3 are close to each other about 15 minutes away..
The Howard Johnson Motel (815-397-9000) has been used since the beginning of B2Osh, is conveniently located adjacent to the airport and is a mid-range quality motel. It has a pool and attached restaurant. Specify that you want the Bonanza to Oshkosh (B2Osh) rate of $59.00.
The Clock Tower Resort is an upscale motel about 15-20 minutes away from the airport. It is preferred by those willing to pay a higher price for a nicer hotel in more upscale surroundings and who do not mind the further distance from the airport. It is located at the junction of Rt. 20 and I-90. Numerous other motels, eating establishments and shopping facilities are in the immediate area. Ask for the Bonanza to Oshkosh rate of $91.00. While we supply bus service to the airport, many prefer an overnight rental car available from the FBO or terminal. Clock Tower does NOT offer free transportation to the airport. Rides are $10 one way. Availability NOT guaranteed. The Water Park is an optional extra. The regular breakfast restaurant and an express breakfast are usually offered. Bus and van transportation will be provided. We will likely change the pickup location to a more central and convenient area for all the downtown hotels. Details will be posted on the transportation page when ready.
